Using MoveURAS

Is it really free?

Yes. MoveURAS is free for the people who use it, and nothing that is free today ever becomes paid: tracking, history, records and export stay free. Cafés and shops pay us, not you.

Who pays for the rewards?

The business that makes the offer. It gives you the reward, and pays us AED 15 for each redemption confirmed at its counter, after a free allowance. You never pay anything.

How do points work?

Sessions measured by GPS earn points for the effort: the sport, how long you were moving and how far you went. Your weight is never used. Points are not money and cannot be bought, sold or cashed. The terms say exactly how.

Which sports can I record?

Thirty, from running, riding and swimming to padel, climbing and yoga. Twelve are measured by GPS, and eighteen run on a timer, so they need no signal.

Does the app track where I am?

Only while you record, and only to measure how far you went. Where you went is never sent to us and never saved on your phone. You can record without location; the session is timed instead. The privacy notice on location.

What does a café learn about me?

That an offer was redeemed, and a code for you that is different at every business. Never your name, your email address, your photo or anything about your activity.

How do I use an offer?

Open the offer in the app and slide to claim it. Your points are held from that moment. At the counter, staff slide the claim on any phone or tablet there, and the customer confirms it with a second slide on their own phone. If it is not confirmed in the time the app shows, it ends and your points come back. Redeeming at the counter opens soon, and until then no points are spent and nothing is charged.

Why would a session be held for review?

Every session is checked before it earns, because businesses pay real money for every redemption. Sometimes one is held for a person to look at. While it is held it earns nothing and the app says so; you can ask for a review, a person decides, and a session that is cleared earns what it would have earned.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open You, then Privacy and safety, and choose Delete account. It is deleted seven days later, and until then you can keep it. Without the app, write to us from the address you sign in with. What is deleted, and what the law asks us to keep.

When does it open?

Not yet: the app is not in the stores, and it opens in Dubai first. Join the waitlist and we send one email when it is, and nothing before.

Is it in Arabic?

Not yet. The app and this site are in English today, and Arabic is being prepared.

For cafés and shops

Who can sign up?

Any business with a valid trade licence that a customer can physically walk into. Cafés, restaurants, bakeries, juice bars, gyms, studios, sports shops, barbers, spas, physios and retail. If a redemption cannot happen at a counter it will not work here.

Who decides what the offer is?

You do, entirely. What it is, what it is worth, what it costs in points, who sees it, which hours, which days, how many. We suggest a points band from what you tell us the thing is worth, and the suggestion is a suggestion.

Can I change or stop it once it is live?

Pause, resume, duplicate and withdraw are one tap each and take effect immediately. An offer somebody has already claimed is honoured, or their points go back to them with the reason.

Can I run more than one?

Up to ten live at a venue. More than that is not a strategy, it is confusion in the app, and it makes every one of them worse.

Can offers be stacked with my other discounts?

No: one offer per redemption, always. Platforms that allow stacking end up publishing an order of operations for combining discounts and still get arguments at the counter.

Why can I not put my phone number in the terms?

Because routing a redemption off the app is the standard way to have the visit and skip the fee, and a redemption we cannot confirm is one neither of us can prove happened. Free-text terms are scanned for phone numbers, web addresses, emails and social handles, and rejected.

Do you take a cut of what the customer spends?

No. What they spend at your counter is entirely yours, including everything they add on top of the offer. We charge a flat fee per confirmed arrival and we do not want to see your takings.

What do you tell me about the people who come in?

How many came, what each visit cost you, how many were new and how many came back, and when in the week they come. Never anything that identifies one of them: the useful version of anything more is a health and location record about a person who was told it was private.

Who do I talk to?

[email protected]. It is read by the people who built this, and there is no call centre between you and them.

The eight questions owners ask first are on the business page.
